Indian hopes are floating high on veteran VVS Laxman, new comer Pujara and Indian skipper MS Dhoni as the second day of the match also belonged too the bowlers and as many as 18 wickets fell in span of 3 sessions.
After winning the toss South Africa put India to bad and Indians scored humble 205 in their first innings. South Africa already lost 4 wickets before the lunch on day 2 of the second test match and match was well in control of India when SA was all out for just 131 runs in their first innings after the lunch break.
India began well in the second innings also with 44/1 on board at one time but middle order again collapsed and once India were reduced to 56/4 when Steyn took Tendulkar's wicket. After that second innings specialist Laxman and Pujara played well to reach the score of 92/4 in 30.5 overs at the end of the day's play.
Surprisingly enough India today bowled as well as fielded very well and got South Africa all out cheaply. It was the bowlers day as South African bowlers also bowled very well at one stage and reduced Indian's to 56/4 before Laxman and Pujara played well to end the day with a good note and 166 runs in lead.
Hero of the day for India was Zaheer khan who took two early wickets in the first innings of South Africa and put tremendous pressure by bowling good line and length. Sreesanth also supported him well and later Sharma and Harbhajan also bowled well to reduce South Africa cheaply.
