SA in command, Sachin's 50th ton

Sachin Tendulkar
Despite Sachin Tendulkar's 50th Test match century South Africa is in commanding position at the end of the fourth day of the first test match between India and South Africa. In on going series, World's no.1 test team India is visiting world's no.2 test team South Africa for 3 Test match, 1 T20 and 5 ODI series. First test match of the series is being played at SuperSport Park, Centurion.

Today evening rain stopped play when India were 454 for eight in 122.2 overs. India is still trailing by another 30 runs in their second innings. Wtih Sachin Tendulkar still at the crease India can avoid an innings defat with the help of the tail enders.

Highlight of the match was Sachin's 50th Test Century, first by any cricketer in the history of the game. He is just 3 more centuries away from scoring the 100 centuries in International cricket including Test matches and ODIs. Sachin is playing international cricket for last 21 years and is considered one of the best batsman the game has ever produced.

Rahul Dravid went past 12,000 run while scoring 43 runs of 109 balls trying to save the test match. Rahul became second Indian to achieve 12,000 milestone after Sachin before Morkel took his wicket.
India lost 4 wickets in the very first session of the play on the fourth day that made things difficult for the lower order batsman. Captain Dhoni partnered with Sachin to score more than 150 run partnership to ensure India reach 450 plus score before the end of the play.
