Wikileaks website off Amazon servers

Wikileaks Website Homepage
On Wednesday wikileaks said that Amazon Inc. has stopped allowing it to host website of amazon's servers following pressure from US congress. Wikileaks recently leaked State Department and cables of american embassy to public domain bringing embarrassment to state department. This happened due to heavy political pressure that Amazon.com faced recently after whistle blower wikileaks cable release.

WikiLeaks said in a Twitter message it had been ousted by the Seattle online retailer Amazon Inc. who provided servers for the wikileaks website hosting and is also into the online hosting business. In a message on the website wikileaks said: "if Amazon are so uncomfortable with the first amendment, they should get out of the business of selling books."

Availability of wikileaks website has been patchy since Sunday, when it started to come under a series of internet-based botnet and other attacks by unknown hackers probabely based in united states. Wikileaks has now moved servers to Europe and in a twitter response it said: "WikiLeaks servers at Amazon ousted. Free speech the land of the free – fine our $ are now spent to employ people in Europe."
