Arundhati Roy, Geelani can be prosecuted

Arundhati Roy
New Delhi: Today PTI (Press Trust of India) reported without giving further details that Arundhati Roy and hardline Kashmiri separatist Syed Ali Shah Geelani can be prosecuted under Indian law. Delhi court ruled to book charges against both and instructed Delhi Police to do so before 6 Jan, 2011.

Sushil Pandit registered a complainant against both Geelani and Roy at Tilak Marg Police Station on 28th of October this year after their speech at a conference 'Azadi - The only way' in Delhi that complainant said was anti-India and felt that sedition charges can be filed against both.

India and Pakistan both claim Kashmir as an integrated part of their country since Partition of India in 1947 and has fought three wars since. Dispute over Kashmir can bring unrest to the sub-continent and South Asia in general as both India and Pakistan are nuclear countries with hostilities towards each other.
